I love sweet and sour sauce, they are devilish and dangerous because it’s full of sugar, but you just want to lick the sauce off the plate.
The sauce I made only used sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger, plus starch to thicken up. The broccoli and cauliflower were blanched for a few minute before going into the sauce.
Once mixed, crank up the heat for a few more minutes until you see the caramelization on the sides of the pan. The florets soaks up all the sweet juice from the sauce, it’s naughty when you bite into them and the juice oozes out.
