Someone came up with the hexagon version of 2048, and continue the merciless torture. Hex shape board with cute circles, but make no mistakes, they are not easy even you can now merge tiles to 2048 tile, but that is far from to win 16384.

Guess what? Terminal or console users? A clone of 16384 Hex to make sure terminal can’t be safe from the Hex, curses_16384_hex by By Pablo Martín:

The textual version of hex is actually quite interesting. This clone only uses standard colors of terminal, no 256 colors or even true color, so, it’s not as colorful as in web.

As if 4 keys ain’t enough, now you need to use two more:

  [W] [E]
[A] [D]
  [Z] [X]

It would take some time to get use the hex layout of keys, and you definitely need some time, because 16,384 needs much longer to win, or, in most cases, to lose.

2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, and finally 16384, certainly a long way to merge. You will need at most 2 14-1=16,383 merges if all 2’s tiles. Imagine, 16k key presses, good luck with your fingers.

Give me a screenshot if you manage to get that win, I’d love to see.
