Apprentice (GitHub) is a Vim colorscheme utilizing low-contrast colors, based on Sorcerer by Jeet Sukumaran.

I used to avoid this style of scheme, because I was scared it might hurt my eyes. But this one seems very nice and I’ve just switched to it to test if I could really use it to work. I am not sure but we will see.

This colorscheme requires 256-color terminal and you might also need to check with your terminal multiplexer, which I doesn’t since it looks fine in the results.

It’s made by Romain Lafourcade, currently version 1.0 (2014-03-31). There is also another version for light background, Disciple.
