marslo.vim (GitHub) is a Vim colorscheme for both 16-color and 256-color, and both GUI and terminal, with separate marslo16.vim and marslo256.vim. The following are animated GIFs of two colorschemes:

The 256 version looks fine, but 16 isn’t much so, kind of bland. The tones of syntaxes ain’t to my taste.
