More than five years ago, I blogged a very short post about 24: Redemption, that was two seasons before.

After eight seasons and four years in the hiding, Jack Bauer is coming back to light. The new season 2-hour premiere for 24: Live Another Day has just been broadcast not long ago and here is what I thought about it. Spoilers may follow, if you want to watch the whole day, 12 episodes at once, don’t read the rest.

Watch 24: Live Another Day trailer

The first two episodes are good, they live up to the standard of 24 has set up in previous seasons, or at last since season 4. I only started watching 24 from that season. You don’t really have to be fan to point out a big difference, the location, this is in London; and it only has 12 episodes, not 24 in 24 hours.

It’s different, but not really anything new in terms of the elements in the plot. Mental issue with the President of U.S.A. and drone usage debating, they are nothing new to television shows or films or the real world.

Would I think less of this season, probably not, but I didn’t think it anything more than just another 24 season, if you know what I mean. Nevertheless, it’s too early to tell if a show is good or bad.

I think the only and most important question for this season is:

Who’s going to be the mole?
