This news is so bizarre, it's like a scene from television show. You don't expect it's reality when someone is trying to avoid police:

When police arrived at McAfee’s property to question him and search the premises Sunday afternoon, McAfee hid, burying himself in sand and covering his head with a cardboard box. He says he spent 18 hours hiding on his property before slipping away.

Burying in sand and covered with a cardboard box, and actually got away. I don't know if it's luck or an ingenious plan.

McAfee already had problem earlier this year.

On May 2, 2012, John McAfee's property in Orange Walk Town, Belize, was raided by the Gang Suppression Unit. A GSU press release stated that he was arrested for unlicensed drug manufacturing and possession of an unlicensed weapon. McAfee was allegedly in the presence of his 17-year-old Belizean girlfriend.

17 years old girlfriend and he was 66 years old at the time. He is something, way to go grandpa, uhm, that doesn't sound right. No wonder he can come up a plan to evade the police.

The last time I heard of a computer programmer involving a murder case was Hans Reiser, Reiser file system developer and murder convict. I didn't follow the case until now, Reiser is serving time.

Either innocent or guilty, or actually framed, the Belize police and Belizean people wouldn't happy to hear this:

You can say I'm paranoid about it, but they will kill me, there is no question. They've been trying to get me for months. They want to silence me.
