I was just trying to think of something for journal when a topic crawled right in front of my face, figuratively and literally, but not that close, not like when I was very young when one roach decided that was a good idea to share a bowl of noodles with me while I was still eating.

An adult German cockroach was crawling leisurely as if there was nobody there, at first, I was going to use a plastic container to catch it — I don’t dare to smack any roaches even with an item — then a thought came to me, why not use roach bait, one that has the last meal in it.

So, I observed the target, which was staying against the wall facing to right, I purposely placed the bait twenty centimeters behind it and lined up the opening right on its escaping route. From my three decades experience of dealing such pest, I can tell which direction and how it would run.

Everything is set.

I gently nudged it with the container, just as I’d planned, it made a quick 180 turn in a split of a second, then it all ended very fast, another fraction of the second, it pew (sound effect) directly into the bait.

Now, I think this would be my favorite way to exterminate any roaches, I’d just kindly provide them a very cozy dark accommodation to stay when some weird object trying to chase them and smack the shit out of them (me physically and it biologically), with a free of charge and delicious meal waiting for them inside the well-built heaven (no pun intended).

I took me three decades to finally realized that there was an easy way to get rid of one roach with horrifying moment if the operation goes south, so I am wondering who is the one single-minded, me or the one running for life and has been virtually successfully for so many years along with its 119-239 brothers and sisters from the same parents.

Anyway, allow me savor my triumph for a bit longer.

Enjoy, my dear roach!

Since today (13th) and tomorrow are not good for serious posts. You will understand when you visit this blog on 13th and 14th in your local time, you should be seeing (literally) the reason.

Another quick note, I would like to tell, is there is an ape in this blog. It is staying right below the pages list and search box. I am currently trying to raise it. It’s like the bird, but an ape actually.

Here is a random rant: Why is headphones broken so easily? Actually, it’s headphones’ wire part. I have three different pairs made by different manufacturers, Sennheiser (really expensive pair, broken in one year or two), Audio-Technia (about ten years, actually a nice investment), Logitech (cheap headset, broken in just a few months).

Only Sennheiser is full size (and a headset), the latter two are supra-aural type. The most interesting part, if I recall correctly, it’s all the left ear.

I often have to play the wire, try to twist them, roll them, pull them, or tilt my head, if the sound goes back, I say cheese. I mean I stay still as much comfortable as I could.

The worst part is I want to fix them but I can’t, because they all are designed to seal tight. I tried very hard to pry them open, but I didn’t success. I am really considering to cut them open.

Here is one stock thing I want to post but the time didn’t come and I hadn’t had good way to write about them.

I wonder if this is so-called chick flick as in US. I didn’t know this kind of show also produced in Germany, maybe it’s common all over the world.

It’s so…, it seems everyone in that wedding ceremony is flirting with someone else. And please forgive me for wanting to chuckle when that disabled woman comes into the scene, I was convinced this is a tear-triggering show.

It must like those romance novels which housewives read for killing time. I have seen a relation chart, a very complex one, of a novel via a blog about writing. After I saw that chart, I finally understand how complex the relationship between people and how they possibly would have complicated affairs in a novel. Do people read such books?

I can’t find the post in my Google Reader, so I have an alternate for you, and it’s a good one, though it has nothing to do with novel or tv show. The relationship can be charted as complex and complicated as shown in this nice explanation about United Kingdom,

There is another video of same show, the reception1.

At first I thought Alles was zählt is the song title, but it’s actually the show title. 1,104 episodes (as of January 25, 2011), yep definitely a daily soap show and chick flick.

The only show I remember which has in-show-promotion is Las Vegas.

I want to share some music videos I have been listening to for a while or other old ones with you. But some may not make sense because I don’t know German and I haven’t tried to read the translation, I just feel the song is cheerful one, so I count it as encouraging song.

1   F**kin’ Perfect by P!nk

Warning

This music video contains explicit materials.

The most recent one I listen to. I only watched the video (images) for once or twice, then I just listened to the song. Watching that is too much for me. If you haven’t watch it and you just start, you would disagree that this is an encouraging song, but you will see. There is a sweet twist.

2   Wir leben den Moment by Christina Stürmer

I think she is my favorite German music singer and this one is my favorite song. Her music often help your heart pump faster.

3   Firework by Katy Perry

I like this song, but maybe it’s more about the stories in this music video.

4   Sag Es Wie Es Ist by Luxuslärm

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/DoCqOg6Iz1w/maxresdefault.jpg

I don’t really know about what’s being played in this music video but it’s really fun to watch. The guy tries to impress his date (I think) by showing off his knowledge of wine, then the girl couldn’t stand anymore, so she tells him just be himself, the old one. And the kissing scene is so hilarious, when you see the other girl’s expression.

5   It’s My Life by Bon Jovi

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/vx2u5uUu3DE/maxresdefault.jpg

Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump off the bridge! You can make it!

6   Spinner by Revolverheld

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4CPajBG7HiE/maxresdefault.jpg

I think this music video is about the story about a group of different kinds of people living in a same building. Their life interlaces and something blah blah blah happens.
